View Full Version : Another Chrysler M21
The Dec 09 issue of Mopar Action magazine carries an article about Walter Chrysler and shows a picture of his 12ga Model 21. It's got an oval with his initials in it, but the only picture of the gun itself is not very clear. Dick, have you heard of this gun?
I shot in the NSSA Vintage shoot this year in Missouri, they were handing out copies of the Double Gun Journal with the article on Chrysler's 20ga M21.

It's very famous and Walter's gun resulted in the engraving pattern being known as the 'Chrysler' pattern and listed in Winchester M21 catalogs.
It is very beautiful.
There are very nice color pictures of this gun in Schwing's book.
CSMC has also engraved some M21's in this pattern. One is shown in the CSMC sub Forum.
In terms of beauty, I like the 'Grand American' first, next the 'Pigeon Grade' and third the 'Chrysler' pattern.-Dick
That's a 20ga gun. I'm talking about the 12ga gun as shown in that particular magazine.

Finally found the issue of Mopar Action magazine.
The Model 21 in question looks to be a standard 12 gauge Trap with Pachymar pad and custom grip cap with no engraving on the reciever or barrels.-Dick
