This 20 gauge two barrel set Winchester Model 21 is on Dave Riffle's website http://www.daverifflegunsales.com/images/guns/h215.html .
It is correctly listed as Grade 6 because the 'Grand American' designation was not applied until the establishment of the Custom Shop in 1960. This gun is a 1957 manufacture. There is only one way to visually tell this Grade 6 from a 'Grand American' and that is by the double line border around the checkering which changed to single line with Custom Shop guns.
Nick Kusmit engraved, this Grade 6 is the equal of any Custom Shop gun and a very fine Model 21.-Dick

Hello to all from another newb. I had Riffle's gun in hand...it was fantistic! It did not, however, letter. The gun was built for Tom Nichols' wife, who probably got tired of it. The stock was undoubtedly replaced to fit Mr. Nichols, but no recorde show this. Its not surprising, since Nichols was John Olins hunting partner, friend and business partner. He brought Matheson to Olin-Matheson Industries. I don't know what Dave got for the gun, but he wanted $39,000! If only it had lettered....
