Roy Rogers 12 and 20 gauge Grand American sets were recently sold at Rock Island Auction for $43K and $43.125K. The M21's were completed by Winchester in 1968.
The Roy Rogers Museum in Branson will close this year.
For those of us old enough to remember the 'King of the Cowboys', Dale Evens, Trigger and The Son's of the Pioneers, it is a final close to a simpler era.
Pictures of the two sets are very hard to find but there is an article in the current issue of Sports Afield with a nice picture for those interested.-Dick

I'm sure sorry to hear the museum is closing. I toured it many years ago when it was in Victorville, CA. Roy and Dale (they'll always be Roy and Dale to me) were still around and would sometimes visit the museum and talk with visitors.
There was a Model 12 Trap gun on the wall of Roy's office that he bought from Clark Gable for a dime. The story is that after a particularly bad round of trap, Mr. Gable digustingly said he'd sell his gun for ten cents and Roy Rogers obliged.
