There are five specific catalogs on the Model 21 produced by Winchester covering the grades and styles available. Three produced during the Production Years and two during the Custom Shop Years. There are a mulittude of catalogs produced concerning the introduction of the Model 21, The 2000 Proof Catalog and catalogs showing the model 21 in conjunction with other shotguns.
There was one USRAC catalog produced that i know of.
I believe CSMC has produced only one catalog.
The yearly catalogs produced by Winchester and USRAC form a group that is collectable in themselves and contain Model 21 information.
Collectively known as 'Paper' to collectors and dealers, these items are valuable reference resources that an advanced Model 21 collector or any collecter may want to acquire.
Be aware that are there are reproductions in circulation.
Boxes, hangtags, instruction manuals and the like also form a body of collectables. As before there are reproductions available, some done very well.
One well known Paper dealer told me that the readily available 'repro' market was causing him to get out of the business.
I have actually purchased some of these to acquire a knowledge of how to spot them when compared to originals.
When purchasing any of this Paper, Caveat Emptor!

What Cody won't tell you is that their 21 records are not complete. There was a fire that distoyed many of the 21 records while they were at the factory. I have pictures of the cabinet with all the record that they had in New Haven. This was told to me many times during my visit back to the Winchester factory by Product Service. in New Haven, CT. Besides there are phony letters written on 21s with Wnchester Letter heads. So be very careful who you are dealing with. The records that Cody has probly has been altered. No names will be mentioned. They had access to the records & some were pulled.

Are you saying Cody is faking letters, or there are fake Cody Letters?

What he is saying is that a few years back someone got into the records. He offered to "volunteer" his services, as a former employee, to help them sort through the records. He had their own motives and when a certain member of Cody found out about it he informed the board and the guy was asked to leave immediately. How much damage was done? Who knows.

No I didn't say that Cody's faking letters. A I said is that their records are not complete & they won't admit it! Some records were pulled & changed.
Ask Pauline the same question.

I have seen a stack of blank Cody letterhead paper in the basement of a person who "improved" a number of guns over the years.
